Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Fireside is building a private email service. Privacy isn’t something we bolt on at the end — it’s the reason we exist. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect today and how we handle it.
Right now Fireside is in early access, and the only thing you can do here is join our waitlist. So this policy is intentionally short. We’ll expand it before the email service launches.
The short version
- We only collect your email address, and only if you give it to us to join the waitlist.
- We use it for one thing: to tell you when Fireside is ready.
- We don’t sell your data, run ads, or track you around the web.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist: your email address. That’s it. We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t use hidden trackers to learn more about you.
Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider processes basic technical information — such as your IP address and browser type — to serve the page and protect against abuse. This is standard request logging, kept briefly for security, and isn’t used to build a profile of you.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We don’t show ads or work with ad networks.
- We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers, and we don’t set cookies.
- We don’t try to identify you across other sites or apps.
How we use your email
We use your waitlist email for one purpose: to send you occasional updates about Fireside — most importantly, your invitation when a spot opens up. We won’t add you to unrelated marketing lists.
Who helps us run the site
We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on this page are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them, and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request.
We share only what these services need to function, and we don’t authorize them to use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist email until Fireside launches and you’ve had the chance to create an account — or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your email from the waitlist at any time. Just email privacy@firesidemail.com and we’ll take care of it.
When Fireside launches
When the email service itself goes live, it will come with a fuller privacy policy. Our commitments won’t change: we will never read your mail to target ads, your data will be yours to export or delete, and privacy will stay the default — not a setting you have to go looking for.
Children
Fireside isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update this page and revise the date above. If a change materially affects waitlist members, we’ll let you know by email.
